National Electrical Code and Safety

The National Electrical Code and Safety Certificate is a three-part series of lesson modules that focus on Electrical Safety and the 2005 National Electrical Code:

2005 National Electrical Code and Safety Certificate Part I – The National Electrical Code (NEC) should be thoroughly understood by all electrical designers and installers. This course series interprets the intent of the NEC requirements and reviews what you need to do to ensure for safety, functionality and the provision of future needs.

Courses included in this package:

2005 NEC: Conductors for General Wiring (2 hours)

2005 NEC: Hazardous Locations, Class I, II and III (4 hours)

2005 NEC: Motors, Motor Circuits & Controllers (5 hours)

2005 NEC: Requirements for Electrical Installations (2 hours)

2005 NEC: Swimming Pools, Fountains & Similar Installations (1 hour)

2005 NEC: Wiring Methods (4 hours)

2005 National Electrical Code and Safety Certificate Part II - This course series concentrates only on the requirements for electrical installations. By omitting the engineering and manufacturing requirements, much of the confusion of the NEC is eliminated in one stroke. This leaves only the rules that actually apply to installing electrical wiring.

Courses included in this package:

2005 NEC: Special Conditions & Communication Systems (2 hours)

2005 NEC: Wiring and Protection - Branch Circuits & Feeders (3 hours)

2005 NEC: Cable Types (1 hour)

2005 NEC: Conduits and Tubing (1 hour)

2005 NEC: Fixed Electrical Space-Heating, AC & Refrigerating Equipment (1 hour)

2005 NEC: Health Care Facilities & Theaters (2 hours)

2005 NEC: Lighting and Appliances (2 hours)

2005 NEC: Overcurrent Protection & Grounding (4 hours)
